Thanksgiving

We had a wonderful afternoon with The Vinson's for Thanksgiving this year. It was Izzy's first so my Mom was bursting at the seams to see her eat mash potatoes! She had a few bites of potatoes, parsnips, and carrots. Next year she'll be eating the whole meal! Before and after dinner she played with all of her friends - somehow I missed getting a photo with Izzy & Daddy. Lots of those to follow on another posting!

Swings!

Yesterday we went to Avery Weil's 1st birthday party in Marysville. It was in a barn near a park so afterwards to went swinging - for Izzy's first time. She LOVED it. At first she just smiled and giggled, and then the singing started. Even as we walked away she continued to sing!

Bananas & noisemakers

Sellen has been really awesome about my schedule since I returned back to work after Izzy was born. I have the opportunity to work from home on Thursdays & Fridays so that I can see Izzy grow-up and spend quality time with her.

This morning she tried bananas for the first time. I'm not talking babyfood, but real bananas. Last weekend was the first time she actually got cheerios in her own mouth. Since she mastered that I thought we'd move on to bananas. It was pretty funny to watch. Mostly she liked to mash them up in her hand and make a royal mess. She was particularly a fan of putting the mashed bananas in her hair. Oh to be a baby again! She did get one in her mouth and I fed her a couple more, but mostly it was just fun to play with her food!

After breakfast we played with waterbottles filled with various things - rice in one and water in the other. She shook them up and made lots of noise. She was very pleased with herself. It was a fun morning. It's amazing to watch her grow up so fast!

My First Posting!

I've been inspired by my friend Anne's blog! She and her family are much busier with much more interesting things to report than I, but I figured there are a few of you out there who are interested in what Izzy's up to! I tried to keep a website of photos up-to-date, but I don't really like it so I thought I'd give this a try instead!

Enjoy!
