A Wagon Made For Two

Izzy finally got a partner in her wagon...

Motorcycle Buddies

Gerald has been dreaming of the day when Izzy can ride on the back of his bike. He got a preview on Sunday when Alex hopped-on and took a ride around the block. Alex was screaming with delight the whole time!

Sunday BBQ

The Beltran's came over for a backyard BBQ on Sunday. Alex & Izzy played together and had a lot of fun. Celerina, Apollo, Auntie Nila, Gerald & I all enjoyed the sun and ate-up Gerald's yummy BBQ (chicken, shrimp, turkey, hot dogs ...).

Motorcycle Saturday

Saturday morning we headed to the Smokey Point Cycle Barn to check-out motorcycle gear for Gerald. He's dreaming of getting another motorcycle, but for now he just had fun sitting on it. Izzy was pretty crabby so we didn't get to stay long, but we got a few cute photos while she was happy...

Friday Afternoon with Kristi

Memorial Day Weekend started early on Friday afternoon when Kristi came over to play in the sun with us. We brought Izzy's water table out, bathed in the sun, and ate popsicles. When Gerald got home from work he fired up the BBQ and we had grilled chicken & peppers (and Gerald had a beer that Izzy was very interested in). After dinner we all headed out for Frozen Yogurt for dessert. It was a fun evening!

Water Babies

On Monday, we spent a few hours in the backyard playing in the pool. Alex & Kristi spent the day with us, so we had a lot of fun...
Izzy was fascinated by the hose...

The 3 Stooges

Oh, just wait until he has his first girlfriend - this is blackmail material!

Goofy Kids

Alex spent most of the day with us on Monday and he & Izzy were so goofy at times. Here are a couple of silly videos:

Mother's Day at the Beach

After a relaxing morning, we headed to the beach near the Edmonds Ferry Dock for awhile Sunday afternoon. Izzy was pretty little last summer, so we didn't take her to the beach last year. But now that Spring is giving us some beautiful days, we'll have lots of opportunities to play in the sand - she loved it!

Playing with our sand toys...

Yes, she's eating the sand - three mouth fulls to be exact - yuck!

I wonder where she gets it from...

Playing with rocks - she liked this more than the sand...

Water Fun!

On Friday Izzy spent the day with Grandma - who bought her a sand table to play with. It sounds like she had a blast (and even had a playdate with the neighbors!). Well, on Saturday I went on a search for some sand toys and couldn't find anything better than the table that my Mom got.... so we got her the same one! Since we didn't have sand, we filled it with water and Izzy had fun getting wet. Luckily it was a beautiful, warm day...

This is Izzy's reaction when you say "cheese" for a picture!

March for Babies

Izzy & I participated in the March for Babies last weekend with several friends we've made through her daycare. Her teachers Angel & Jessica organized it and one of her playmates, Joy, and her Mom Cathy walked as well. Joy was born premature at 29 weeks, so this was a cause close to their hearts - and it felt good to be there supporting them and all the other families who've dealt with prematurity issues.

Thank you to so many of our family & friends who supported our efforts - I was able to raise $500 due to all of your support! Thank you, thank you!!

Sand Fun at Grandma's

We spent some time with Grandma last Friday and Izzy got to spend some time playing in the sand! I don't know who had more fun, my Mom or Izzy! I got a call over the weekend from my Mom as she was leaving Target - she bought Izzy a sand/water table and a bunch of sand toys ... just wait until this Friday when Izzy gets to have some REAL fun!!

Izzy's First Haircut

My Mom & I took Izzy to get her haircut for the first time today. Izzy loved the toys at the hair salon (West Seattle Kids Salon is great!), but she wasn't so crazy about the whole haircut thing. Honestly, I think she was more afraid of the stylist than the actual haircut. Either way, I ended up holding her on my lap and it worked great. She didn't really move and her hair looks SOOO much better now. Thank you Mom for the haircut - it was a belated birthday present for Izzy.

All done - so much better!
