Diggin' In The Dirt
We had a load of dirt delivered from Sky Nursery on Friday so that we could top-off all of our flower beds in the front and back yards. Gerald worked long days Saturday and Sunday moving dirt from the pile in the wheel borrow to its final resting place. He did awesome. I did my part weeding, edging, moving plants, etc. and I must say that the yard really is looking good. A big thank you to Kristi for watching Izzy on Saturday so we could spend the day in the garden. Now I can spend some time getting some really nice plants established over the summer - and they should live since the soil is SOOO much better now!

Izzy's Bear
Celebrate Swedish
Saturday night Gerald and I got all dressed up for Swedish Medical Center's annual "Celebrate Swedish" Auction. Izzy wasn't terribly excited for us to leave, but after a few minutes with Auntie Heather she calmed down. Heather styled my hair (thank you sissy!!) and watched Izzy for us so we could have a night out. Are we lucky to have family to help out, or what?!

Easter Brunch
We didn't get many pictures at Easter Brunch at my parent's house, but Kristi & Heather took some, so I'll add more when I get them from them...
We did get a cute video of Izzy checking out her Easter basket from Marty & Suzanne ... too cute! Thanks, Suzanne & Marty!

Easter Morning
The Easter Bunny visited our house and left a stuffed duck, stuffed bunny, and a cool easter basket full of eggs. Inside each egg was a Sesame Street character. Izzy loved them!
Easter Egg Hunt
On Saturday we headed over to Bremerton to see Gerald's parents and go to Holy Trinity's Annual Easter Egg Hunt. Gerald reminisced as we walked up to the church that he hadn't been there in almost 20 years, so it was pretty cool. They had a section just for kids 2 and under to hunt for eggs. After I showed her how to do it, Izzy caught on very quickly and had a fun time!

Emery's Garden
Kristi, Izzy & I headed to Emery's Garden for a bit on Saturday morning. The sun was out and with such a beautiful weekend ahead I wanted to get a few plants! As we wandered around the outdoor areas, we discovered that they had animals on the property: chickens, geese, peacocks, and pheasants. But we're not talking your average run-of-the mill birds ... they were exotic varieties that were breathtakingly beautiful. What fun!
The Duck
Izzy spent last Friday with my Mom & Dad in West Seattle so I could head into work for the day. They had so much fun! One special activity was that Izzy learned to rock in "the duck". It's a rattan rocking duck that my parents had when we were kids. My Mom had it refurbished for Izzy and she's finally at an age where she is learning how to rock herself in it. Pretty cute...

She's A Walker!
It's finally happened .... Izzy is walking! She woke up on Monday and decided that would be the day ... she went from pulling-up to walking on her own over night. She got really good by the end of the week - as you can see from this video. We think she'll be walking exclusively in a week or so... so fun!
